oil burner problems?
I have a water boiler that I just power vented, the controll relay is a ck 63 the boiler has a 7184b relay,,I got the boiler to fire but when it goes to refire the motor just runs than will not fire again,,,the wireing is corrrect ane all tests pass,,,is their something im missing, ,,the relay on the boiler goes into lockout mode,,,
all parts are brand new includeing the boiler,the powerventer , the powerventer runs when it kicks in the burner it runs without fireing,,and I get a bad smell of oil,,,one thing I did do is change the nozzle from a 1.10 70 solid to a .80 70 hollow and left the same electrode settings
common lock out problem is failure for sensing unit to “see” the high spectrum white light. TEMPORARILY by-pass the safety at control and try a restart, if it will fire , check alignment , then using ohm. meter check sensor value of control as it is burning. good place to start…
## You changed the nozzle to a hollow and did not adjust the electrode gap? Thats another thing you have to do. Why such a different nozzle?
